This story was featured in : the Nottingham evening Post, The herald, Daily Mail, The independant, Radio 4 and Trent FM

Lee Roberts and Paul Nunn also featured live on The Richard Bacon Show on Radio 5 LIVE and then was wisked off to be interviewed live on Radio Nottingham.

The new found fame for the TAPIT crew has caused Team Leader Lee Roberts to remove his address and personal phone number from the crews website as he was recieving 100’s of calls a day from the media wanting an interview.

Lee has been offered deals with several magazines and papers to tell his story of the haunted Clifton Hall.. but nothing has been confirmed as yet

This was the initial story that broke late Friday night October 17th…

————————————————————————–

With a history dating back to the time of the Norman conquest, spectacular views over the Trent, 17 bedrooms, a private gym and its own cinema, Clifton Hall appeared to have everything for the discerning millionaire purchaser.

But for Anwar Rashid and his family, the Nottinghamshire pile went from home of their dreams to a house of nightmares as they came to believe it was haunted. After eight months of being plagued by unexplained screams in the long corridors, chilling ghostly visitations and mysterious blood spots, they began to fear they had strayed into a real life version of The Others, a horror film starring Nicole Kidman, released in 2001.

In the end the Rashids handed back the keys to the £3.6m mansion because they were too scared to continue living there.

Mr Rashid, 32, a businessman, is not the kind of person who is easily spooked. His level head helped him amass a £25m fortune through a chain of nursing homes, a Dubai hotel and a vast property portfolio, but that was before he took up residence at the 52-room Clifton Hall.

Speaking after the bank took possession of the property last week, he said: ‘Clifton Hall is a beautiful property, but behind the facade it is haunted. We were like the family in The Others. The ghosts didn’t want us there and we could not fight them because we couldn’t see them.’

The Rashids say the problems started on day one, when they sat down in the evening to relax, only to hear the sound of knocking on the wall and a voice asking: ‘Is anyone there?’

‘We ignored it the first time but two minutes later we heard the man’s voice again. I got up to have a look but the doors were locked and the windows were closed,’ said Mr Rashid.

On another occasion the Mr Rashid’s wife, Nabila, 25, went downstairs at 5am to warm milk for the couple’s baby and thought she saw their eldest daughter watching television, only to find her sleeping peacefully in her bed.

It all became too much with the discovery of blood spots on the baby’s quilt. ‘That was the day my wife said she’d had enough,’ said Mr Rashid. ‘We didn’t stay that night. It was the last straw, we felt they had come to attack us. It was really emotional.’

By this time friends were refusing to visit them at the house, so the family of six called in the Ashfield Paranormal Investigation Network to try to get to the bottom of the bizarre goings on. But investigators were unable to halt the haunting. Lee Roberts, team leader of the network, said: ‘Clifton Hall is the only place where I’ve ever really been scared, even in the light. It’s just got a really eerie feeling about it.’

Mr Rashid, who now lives in the Wollaton area of Nottingham, has been left shaken. He says he will be looking for something with a little less history next time. ‘When people used to tell me about ghosts, I would never believe them. But I would tell any new owner it was haunted, having experienced it. I couldn’t sleep knowing I have kept something so serious from them.’

OPEN NIGHT A SUCCESS FOR ALL

The open night proved to be a massive success once again for the second year in a row.

We managed to sell more tickets than last year which was a big boost for TAPIT.

With the mediums Wayne, Tracy, Jill and Monica rushed off their feet and not a minute to rest the place was buzzing from the off.

Paul and Richard ran the mini investigations with the help of Darren and Cal who made a surprise appearance

Plus the crystal stand was never empty of customers looking and purchasing their own crystals and jewellery.

TAPIT would like to thank everyone that help and attended on the night for making it a great success.

Please post your comments on the guest book about the night if you wish.

The event is set to be one of the biggest we have ever hosted and the TAPIT team are privileged to be involved. On a recent investigation at the hall with members of the Wollaton Hall staff the team came across many unexplained activities in the hall, we are keen to give the public a chance to experience what happens after dark in the great hall.

This will not be one for the faint hearted”

LOCAL PHOTO GAINS MEDIA ATTENTION

This photograph was brought to my attention by Ian Watkin at radio Mansfield FM 103.2.

A listener had brought the photo into the studio to see what their staff though.. Their first thoughts were to ring us to get our opinion.

At first looks at the photo you see nothing wrong. A few girls getting ready to go out, a child crying as it is nearly bedtime perhaps.

Well Look closer!

Take a look between the 2nd and 3rd girl for the left.. About knee level…… Do you see it?

A face of a child appears to be looking at the camera!

Well we have taken a closer look at the photograph and it was taken on a mobile phone, in Mansfield. When you zoom in you see that the mega pixels are all the same.. So may prove that the photo has not been tampered with and that the face was there when the photo was taken.

The strange face looks to be a child and the size of the head is the same as the girls knee caps.. Suggesting that the child is very young. Not old enough to be standing knee height anyway!

 So what have we done?

We have currently sent the photo off to Callum Cooper who is currently at Northampton Uni for him to conduct more tests and to get more advice.

I will post his findings on here when I get them.

But for now take a look at the photo again and see what you think.

Email the team on info@tapitcrew.info with your views or if you have a similar photo
